Branson ~ October 2015 ~ Day 6

Time to go home... but first, one more trip to Springfield!!  Besides the fact that the guys needed to go to Bass Pro Shop, I found a new gem there!  Clue Pursuit Live!  It is an escape room and I wanted to give it a try! Kiddos were nervous about it, but I was pretty excited about it!

We did the Jack Travis Warehouse - you have an hour to find the clues and get out.  Sadly, we needed about another 30 seconds! The lady that works there told us we were so close - like the closest she's ever seen at the time we were at.  She also said we figured out many things pretty quick - that usually takes groups some time to figure out.  Was tons of fun and the kiddos really liked it - we will be going back!!

(She also said she only allows the "so close" sign for very few - who are actually really that close!)

Riley has a campout this weekend, so we left Branson/Springfield area and headed to camp to drop him off.  It lightly rained on us all the way home, so when we got to the camp - the critters were stirring!

Branson ~ October 2015 ~ Day 5

Today was pretty much a 'nothing to see here, keep moving' kind of day.

Grandpa and Grandma left out to head home, and for the most part, the rest of us just hung out at the cabin.  Roger and the kiddos played shuffleboard and putt putt - but that was the excitement for the day!  No one even wanted to go swimming!

Branson ~ October 2015 ~ Day 4

Possibly my favorite day so far - ever!!  We headed out first thing this morning to Wild Animal Safari Drive Thru.  We went in May, but *we* drove thru.  This time, we went on the safari bus! So much more fun!!

This little guy loved giving Riley "5"!

This is what it looks like when a baby elk licks your camera lens..

Baby elk that is mentioned before - licking my camera!

This guy was HUGE!!!

He kinda freaked me out!!

This guy was pretty funny - Roger would act like he was hitting one of us and he would FLIP OUT about it!  He fussed at Roger for a long time...

I made Roger share some fruit loops with him after he got fussed at.. you can see him reaching out to catch a pink fruit loop.

After we left the zoo, we met some dear friends who moved up in the Springfield area.  Lambert's was the place of choice! Great food and great visiting with friends!  Kiddos were so glad to see Jake (from State Farm) again!!

Branson ~ October 2015 ~ Day 3

Roger and I got up super early to go watch the sun rise.  There were just enough clouds to make it have some pretty colors.

Once the sun was up, the kiddos got up and started preparing for their day!  They both dressed up nicely and they had their first college tour this morning.  We visited College of the Ozark in Point LookOut, Missouri- just outside of Hollister, south of Branson.  They are still kinda young, but thought the college was neat.  I was pretty impressed with the program.  It is a work-study program -no tuition, you work at the college during your term and it pays for your college.  The only thing the student is responsible for is room and board, which can also be paid for by working during the summer.  There were tons of things that really impressed me about the college.

After our tour, we headed back to the cabin and started dinner!  Taco Soup- so it had to simmer all afternoon!  We left the soup simmering and headed out to the grounds of Big Cedar to take some fall photos of the kiddos - at their request!  I will share some, but I'm thinking Christmas presents and I'm not sure who all actually may read this - so I don't want to spoil!
